We actually depart (and return) our challenging hikes from our home adjacent to the National Park. The Park hosts a mix of both plentiful and rare native trees, palms, ferns as well as unique bird life including the endemic Green Parrot. I certainly don’t consider myself an expert but I will give you Norfolk related flora & fauna information and historical detail infused with my own Norf’k cultural insights.
To join me for one of our hikes you will need to be fit with appropriate footwear. You’ll need to be able to walk up (and down) steps, good on hills (which may include loose surfaces) for an extended period of time.
We assemble at 6.30am sharp at 100 Selwyn Pine Road (off Cascade Road, off JE Road). Please note our hikes operate on Mondays. If you specifically require a different day you would need to request it. Numbers are limited per departure to a maximum of 8 hikers. A typical hike up Mt Bates and Mt Pitt will take approx 3 to 4 hours out/back from our departure point.
